Terms of use

14-day no-questions refund. Just write that it did not suit you.
One Pro key works on 3 devices simultaneously.
You cannot resell or transfer the key to another person.
Software ships "as is" — we are not responsible for third-party laws (for example, do not record other people without their consent).

1. What "accepting the terms" means

By downloading, installing or running AuroraWhisp, you agree to these terms. If something does not work for you — do not use the app. The terms apply to both Free and Pro versions.

2. What you get — Free and Pro

Free version (no payment, no account, no email): you may use AuroraWhisp free of charge and indefinitely for any task — personal, educational, commercial — within the daily limit of 10,000 recognised words. Pro version ($19.90 / 1,490 ₽ one-time): removes the daily limit, unlocks the heavy Whisper models, the licence is bound to your account and active on 3 devices simultaneously.

3. The exact licence you get

We grant you a simple (non-exclusive), non-transferable, revocable licence to use AuroraWhisp. "Non-transferable" means you may not gift, sell, rent or sublicense your licence (or key) to another person. A Pro key is bound to 3 devices simultaneously — these are your devices; rebinding to a new one is done via the customer cabinet on the website.

4. What you MAY NOT do

Resell AuroraWhisp or keys; pass off the program as your own or include it in your product without explicit written permission; decompile, reverse-engineer or publish the source code; bypass the licence check or the Free daily limit; use the program to record other people's speech without their consent (this is a legal requirement, not ours); use AuroraWhisp for actions that violate the law in your country.

5. Refund for Pro

14 calendar days from the moment of purchase — no questions, no explanations. Write to hello@aurorawhisp.com with the email used for the purchase, we will refund the same payment method within 5 business days. After 14 days, refund is possible only for technical malfunction caused by us; write to us, we will sort it out individually.

6. Warranty — provided "as is"

AuroraWhisp is provided "as is." We do everything to make the app work well but cannot guarantee: 100% recognition accuracy on every voice and noise environment; absence of bugs; compatibility with every possible Windows configuration and audio device; operation through every antivirus, firewall or DLP agent. The Free version IS your indefinite trial; before buying Pro, make sure AuroraWhisp works on your hardware.

7. Our liability is limited

We are not liable for lost profits, lost time, errors in recognised text, or consequences of sending recognised text to third parties. Re-read what was dictated before sending important messages and signing documents. Our maximum aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Pro ($19.90 / 1,490 ₽).

8. Third-party services

AuroraWhisp uses open recognition models (Whisper from OpenAI, Zipformer from k2-fsa, Distil-Whisper from Hugging Face) — they run locally on your computer, we do not control their development. Payments are processed by an external payment provider — we are not responsible for the operation of its service or for changes to its terms. Email notifications are sent via an external email service — it sees only your email and the message text.

9. Changes to the program and to these terms

We may change the program — add and remove features. About major changes affecting your experience (e.g., a change of the Free daily limit or removing a supported language), we will tell you in advance on the site and via email to Pro users. We may edit these terms; the new version is published on /terms with an updated date. If the changes do not work for you — your installed version of the program will keep operating under the rules in effect at the time of installation.

10. Termination

You may uninstall the program at any time — removing the .exe and the %APPDATA%\\AuroraWhisp\\ folder removes everything. No prorated refund for unused Pro period (it's a one-time licence). If you grossly violate these terms — we may revoke your Pro licence without refund. The Free version will in any case keep working offline as long as Windows runs on your machine.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the licensor's country of registration. Disputes are resolved by good-faith negotiation first; if that fails — in court at the licensor's place of registration. GDPR applies for EU residents and CCPA for California residents with respect to personal data processing — see /privacy.

Glossary

Free: The free version. 10,000 recognised words per day, light models, all main features. No time limit.
Pro: The paid version at 1,490 ₽ / $19.90 once. Unlimited words, heavy Whisper models, up to 3 devices simultaneously. Lifetime.
Licence: The right to use AuroraWhisp on your computer. Built into the app for Free, separate license.json file in %APPDATA% for Pro.
Activation: A one-time process of binding a Pro key to a specific device. One HTTP request to our server, after that everything is local.
Hardware ID: A unique SHA-256 hash of computer hardware (CPU + motherboard + disk). Used for device binding. Contains no personal data.
Refund window: 14 days from purchase. During this time you can request a refund without explaining why.
